Diversity and Inclusion
Increased
female employee retention to support D&I agenda
The Ask
Support us to identify issues with diversity relating to key elements of the employee experience (e.g., salary).
Our Solution
We utilised data on demographic attributes, salary, employee performance, and employee turnover to identify clear gaps in payrates and career progression for employees belonging to minority groups. Our insights demonstrated that even with efforts to reduce gaps over several years (through expensive initiatives), the progression gap for women was worsening, with the majority earning less than men in the same career and leaving the company in higher numbers. Through this analysis, we identified the core reason for women leaving was a return to education – something easily managed by adapting career paths to offer education pathways.
Impact
By identifying the number one driver for high attrition amongst female employees, a simple policy change could be implemented, saving cost and creating more meaningful impact.
